The JWAS Family
While the JWAS Foundation provides financial assistance to children from preschool through college, being a part of the JWAS family means so much more! Once a child is accepted as a Jaxson Scholar, their family immediately becomes part of our JWAS family, and that means regular check-ins and love and support year-round.
Jaxson Scholars are encouraged not only to achieve their academic goals but to also develop good moral character and life skills that will serve them into the future. Through customized character and leadership development programing, JWAS families interact and build relationship amongst themselves as they learn and grow together! As we provide experiences to cultivate self-confidence, we encourage all of our Jaxson Scholars and their families to give back through service and become forces of good in our community.
JWAS Family Activities
While our events may vary from year-to-year, one thing is certain; each time we gather there is bound to be plenty of hugs, fun and laughter! Our families come together regularly to set goals, develop their character and leadership skills and build connection through enjoying each other's company. Some of our events include:
I am a single mother of a wonderful 6-year-old young man. The ability to ensure that my child has every possible asset to grow and mature is not always easy. I am blessed with all that JWAS has allowed me to give to my child. JWAS has always been there for us and I cannot express enough how rewarded my family is. The additional time I am afforded and the treasures that JWAS has blessed us with truly is remarkable.
