Meet Jaxson
Jaxson William Augustus Swank was, and still is, a blessing to all who had the privilege to meet him and to those who have only been able to hear of him. He was an extremely handsome young boy with tousled sandy-brown hair, big brown eyes that could light up a room, and a truly infectious smile. He was taken from his family and friends just 1 month and 11 days short of his 2nd birthday, but to the many that loved him, it seems like yesterday he was running around, hugging, and laughing.

Jaxson was a beautiful little boy filled with more love than most of us can hope to feel. He was outgoing, inquisitive, playful, and a bit of a tease, if only to bring a smile to your face. He enjoyed being outside, swimming, reading stories with his mom and dad, chasing others, traveling, bath-time, and had an obvious thirst for knowledge. Even at a very young age, Jaxson questioned how the objects around him functioned, whether it be observing a sliding rocking chair, looking on to mom in the kitchen, or watching dad fix something.
During his brief time with us, Jaxson gave to so many people in so many different ways. He was able to open hearts more deeply than they had ever been opened before. He influenced many to change in new and positive ways.

His innocent, unconditional love stays a constant reminder to his family and friends who miss him every day. His legacy of true unconditional love is a gift that he can no longer physically pass on to others, but is passed in his memory. The Swank family's hope is other children, who may not otherwise have the opportunity, be able to attend a top-notch school . As those children grow, they may learn of a little boy who was like them, whose life was cut short, and because of him, their lives have been made better.
Jaxson was a precious gift to all who knew him and all who knew of him. He was our "Jaxi" and our "Little Man". We know he is safe in God's loving arms now, but for a brief time, he was our little angel on earth. It is a beautiful feeling knowing there really are angels walking amongst us. We just may not realize it until after they are gone. |
