Jaxson Scholars

Our Jaxson Scholars currently range in age from 3 to 20. We love watching them grow and develop each year and are so proud of how they positively impact their families, schools, and communities. Our Jaxson Scholar recipients are encouraged to tour at least three private schools in St. Joe County, IN, and apply to the best school for their families. The foundation currently assists the educational goals of 30 Michiana children through funding academic scholarships and services at Marian High School, Montessori Academy at Edison Lakes, Purdue University, Saint Joseph Grade School, Saint Joseph High School, Indiana University South Bend, The Stanley Clark School, St. Anthony de Padua Catholic School, La Lumiere School, Meadows Edge Elementary School, and  Holy Cross Catholic School. The Jaxson Scholar Application opens each year in mid-September. Learn more about the application process.

JWAS students and their families enrich our community spirit and collective ethos. Their diverse perspectives and experiences contribute to a richer, more inclusive school culture where everyone feels valued and respected. I’m profoundly grateful and honored to work alongside so many outstanding Jaxson Scholars and families who are clearly on a path to impact the world significantly.
Dr. Ben Ottenweller, Head of School, The Stanley Clark School

code of conduct

During our Teen Leadership Retreat, our oldest Jaxson Scholars were tasked with creating a Code of Conduct for the current and future Jaxson Scholars to abide by while keeping our four values of character, education, leadership, and faith in mind. What we thought would take them an hour or two to formulate took them merely twenty minutes! We were amazed by their quick ability to work as a team and agree upon what they would like to commit to. We are so proud of the forces of good they are!
